Sedona

Eat:

  • Coffee Pot – for breakfast!
  • Creek Side Sedona Restaurant – good for dessert
  • Thai Spices – SO good!
  • Cowboy Club – had a fluffy yet crispy pot pie. Good place to sit outside and watch the town.
  • Mariposa – definitely go here for a nice dinner, get there early to watch the sunset and sit outside!
  • Olde Sedona – this is literally the only bar in town.
  • The Secret Garden Cafe
  • Elote – omg. this is the hot ticket right here. This place is SOOOO good. You’ll have to wait but you get free popcorn and can start drinking their amazing margaritas. Everything is SO good on the menu – especially the elote appetizer!
  • Chocolatree – ate here like 5 times. Delicious and healthy food, soft live music and hammocks to relax in.
  • Oak Creek Brewery

Stay: We stayed at the Baby Quail Inn. April and October are the two best months to visit Sedona so it’s typically hard to make a reservation during these months without notice!

Love:

  • Go to the top of the Airport trail for sunset
  • Shop at the Mystical Bazaar, the Flower of Life shop, Center for the New Age (this is where we were when I found out that Prince had passed away 😦 then learned a bunch about the Illuminati)
  • Airport Loop hike in the morning
  • We did a Pink Jeep tour to see the ancient ruins
  • Trailhead Tea – shop and bar
  • Visited a supta for a group meditation

  • Cathedral Rock – we got to the trailhead while it was still dark out, had to have been 4:30am. The daylight slowly started to light the upwards trail along the red rocks. When we got to Cathedral Rock, the full moon was setting and the sun was rising on the other side of us. And there was NO ONE there. We stayed for hours. That’s where the picture at the top of this page was taken.
  • Visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross
  • Chai Spot – suuuper cute place to grab a chai and read a book

  • Take a class/workshop at the McLean Meditation Institute. We went to a sutras class here and it was one of the BEST learning experiences I’ve ever had. We also came back for a group mediation and bought a few things to take home.
  • Unity of Sedona. We attended a service here led by Michael Mirdad, who we were recommended to get a reading by but did not have the time!
  • The Bearcloud gallery
  • Sound Bites Grill – check their schedule for a dinner and show kind of night.
  • Bell Rock – crazy feeling being on top of this giant red rock!

Phoenix

On our way to and from Sedona we stopped in Phoenix…

Eat:

  • Had the best pizza at Pizzeria Bianco…MMM
  • The Gelato Spot (actually in Scottsdale): also really good pizza and obviously good gelato
  • Snooze – must go here for breakfast!
  • The Duce – omg. so cute! just go. food, drinks, shop, music.

Stay: we stayed at the Papago Inn

Love:

  • We went to Chase field for a little baseball action. This is the only baseball field with a jacuzzi for special seats. Had some drinks at Coaches afterwards and a late night meal at Papago Brewery.
  • Musical Instrument Museum
  • Desert Botanical Gardens at night
